Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and web applications. The role involves collaborating with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development:

• Develop, record, and maintain cutting-edge web applications using the Laravel PHP framework.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
• Design and manage relational databases using MySQL/PostgreSQL, including writing optimized queries, migrations, and seeders.

API Development and Integration:

• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications (React, Next.js, or mobile apps).
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external web services.
• Handle data serialization, authentication (JWT, OAuth), and authorization securely.

Application Performance & Security:

• Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and maximum security of backend systems.
• Implement robust data protection measures and handle security best practices (preventing SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.).
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.

CMS & E-Commerce Integration (Optional/Bonus):

• Customize and extend CMS platforms or e-commerce solutions built on PHP/Laravel when required.
• Manage server environments, deployments, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).

Testing and Debugging:

• Perform unit testing and feature testing using PHPUnit or Pest to ensure bug-free releases.
• Identify, debug, and resolve application bottlenecks, performance issues, and errors.

Code Review and Documentation:

• Follow industry-standard coding guidelines and participate in peer code reviews.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, database schemas, and application workflows using tools like Swagger or Postman.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers.
• Provide regular updates on development tasks, project timelines, and technical challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Solid understanding of MVC architectural pattern and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and database management.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and JSON data structures.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with frontend teams.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Basic knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and queue management in Laravel.
